Simon Dow is a photographer specialising in fine art, portraiture and installation work. Studies include Photography Studies College, Melbourne, professional mentoring and independent workshops. In 2023 and 2025 he was a finalist in the Martin Kantor Photographic Portrait Prize and his portrait work has appeared in Capture Magazine. Simon has received numerous honourable mentions in international competitions.

Simon has a lifetime of work in international, professional performance including dance, dance theatre, acting, butoh, choreography, master teaching, dance company artistic direction, installation work and creative events direction, along with his photographic work and has sat on many cultural boards including the Dance Panel of The Australia Council for the Arts. Until recently, Simon was the Director and principal curator for EDGE GALLERIES in Maldon, Australia and is now residing in Melbourne, Australia and available for portrait and fine art commissions.
