This series explores a trick of the eye as the colourful movement of an alluring, sensual bodice is revealed to be a small child’s tiny dress.

We are so often deceived and bombarded with imagery to seduce. This is the joy and perhaps the danger of photography. The capturing of desire.

I comment hesitantly here on the exploitation and commercial over-sexualisation of infants and young children. Too much too soon as evidenced by toddler t-shirts emblazoned with such statements as ‘future porn star’ and ‘blow me’.

The artist must continue to break boundaries and free themselves of imposed idealistic societal restriction but where is the line… or is there a line?

The debate on beauty will always be present.
